And while we continue to evolve, Moreganic® builds on a solid base of real-world experience — with established systems for chain-of-custody and auditing that ensure transparency, traceability, and trust across the supply chain.
Rooted resilience
Greater diversity can bring new opportunities for farms and landscapes. Moreganic promotes farming approaches that look beyond a single crop, but build climate resilience through biodiverse agroforestry and regenerative practices. Science supports combining different plants and trees; they improve soil health and capture more CO₂. And by cutting down synthetic chemicals, they do it even better. Moreganic puts biodiversity at the heart of its approach to rubber farming, encouraging farmers to consider how nature can be part of productive agricultural landscapes. This gives wildlife room to roam and a fighting chance to flourish. From birds to bees, these agroforests offer safe passage and sanctuary. (Agroforestry for ecosystem services and environmental benefits, Jose, 2009). Scientifically, diverse planting can influence pest incidence by supporting natural enemies and contributing to a more balanced soil ecology. Moreganic® encourages diverse planting and reduced reliance on synthetic chemicals as part of a more responsible approach to soil and farm management.

The story of Moreganic®
Moreganic® was born from a belief that rubber plantations could do more than simply produce latex. Rubber farming can make more room for biodiversity, diversify farm production and create greater value for farmers and the wider supply chain- giving back to the Land.
From research to renewal
It took more than studies to spark change. The idea grew from research and practical experience in rubber agroforestry. Pattrishiya D de Zoysa brought together Novaya (then Latexo), the Rubber Agroforestry Foundation for Sustainability (RAFS), and Phatthalung Paratex to put ideas into action. This work helped lay the foundation for Moreganic® and its approach to connecting biodiversity-first agroforestry practices, traceability, and global markets.
Moreganic® is now being developed as a non profit, open programme for natural rubber. Its approach brings biodiversity, farmer value and responsible sourcing together, creating opportunities for farmers and businesses to take a different approach to natural rubber. Today, Moreganic makes the case for farming that heals rather than harms. And it’s not just about rubber. Coffee, honey, cacao, fruit and other locally preferred crops can be part of diverse Moreganic® biodiversity agroforestry landscapes. By making space for crops suited to local conditions and farmer preferences, Moreganic® supports greater diversity across the farm landscape. this creates new income streams for farmers and offers more responsible choices to consumers.
