First Moreganic®-Certified Latex Product Wins ‘Best of the Best’ at Interzum 2025
Novaya’s Moreganic®-certified natural latex received the top distinction at the world’s leading trade fair for furniture production, the first time a Moreganic-certified product has been recognised at this level.
Industry Recognition at Interzum 2025
Novaya’s Moreganic®-certified natural latex received the ‘Best of the Best’ distinction at Interzum Cologne 2025, the world’s leading trade fair for furniture production and interior design. The award recognised Novaya’s introduction of the first commercially available latex product carrying Moreganic certification, used in the production of mattresses, toppers, and pillows.
The ‘Best of the Best’ distinction is the highest recognition offered by the Interzum Award programme, given to products that demonstrate outstanding innovation in sustainability, materials, or manufacturing. For Moreganic, a certification programme that was in early-stage development at the time of the fair, the recognition is a meaningful external signal that the direction the programme is taking is legible and credible to industry.
What the award recognises
The Interzum Award jury evaluated Novaya’s submission on the basis of the Moreganic certification framework: biodiversity-first farm management, verified farmer premiums, and supply chain traceability built for independent audit. The award was made to Novaya as the manufacturer and launch partners, but it reflects the standard those products are certified against.
This matters because it confirms market interest in the kind of differentiation Moreganic offers. Certification that can be independently verified, tied to measurable biodiversity outcomes, and designed to withstand scrutiny under tightening EU environmental claims rules is increasingly what serious buyers and specifiers are looking for.
Where Moreganic is now
From mid-2025, Moreganic completed its spin-out from Novaya to operate as an independent certification system, registered as Moreganic BV in Belgium.
Since Interzum, the Farm Management Standard Version 1.0 has been published, and work on chain of custody, digital traceability, and third-party certification body appointment is progressing in parallel. Moreganic is now open to all supply chain participants.
